1. What We Collect
When you use Urbero, we collect:
- Account data: name, email, password hash (via our auth provider), avatar, role.
- Brokerage data: brokerage name, buildings, units, leases, financial records you enter.
- Tenant data: names, emails, phone, income, DOB, emergency contacts — entered by brokerage users.
- Usage data: timestamps of mutations (our audit log), request metadata (IP, user agent) for security.
2. How We Use It
- To provide and maintain the Service.
- To send transactional notifications (status changes, lease expiries, team invites).
- To detect and prevent abuse.
- To improve the product — aggregate metrics only, never individual tenant data.
3. Tenant PII
Tenant information entered by brokerage users is stored on behalf of the brokerage. The brokerage is the data controller; Urbero is the processor. Brokerages are responsible for lawful collection and retention of tenant records under applicable regulations.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only with:
- Service providers (auth, email, SMS, storage, error monitoring) strictly for delivering the Service.
- Legal authorities when required by law.
5. Storage & Security
- All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS).
- Uploads (photos, lease PDFs) are stored in S3 with access policies.
- Secrets are kept outside the codebase; access is role-restricted.
6. Retention
We retain your data while your account is active. Audit logs are retained for up to 90 days rolling. Leases and tenant records are retained as long as the owning brokerage account is active, unless you request deletion.
7. Your Rights
You can request a data export or deletion at support@urbero.com. Where required by law (GDPR, CCPA), we honor access, correction, and deletion requests within statutory time frames.

We use essential cookies for authentication and session state. We do not use advertising cookies.
